First Baptist Preschool of Thousand Oaks, a
convenient, safe and affordable school for
parents seeking the highest standards for
their children. A family-like atmosphere,
from 7am till 6:30pm. Low monlthy fee $625
per month...which is $2.47 hr!
About Us:
Founded in 1979, First Baptist of Thousand
Oaks is the only all ABeka school in the
Conjeo Valley. Young children are "safe and
secure" while playing in park-like
playgrounds. Individual, hands-on approach
and loving care. Developmental age
appropriate curriculum daily. "School
Readiness" programs, along with Computer Lab,
Science, Music & Fine Arts. Children can grow
within the security of the same academic and
after-school facility from 2yr, 9 months thru
Jr. Highschool. Full & Half-day.

Church Center Details
Enrollment Process:
Open enrollment is available throughout the
year for full and half day Preschool programs.
First Baptist Preschool has an open door
policy, parents are welcome to visit Monday
through Friday from 9am through 11am. An
appointment is preferred but not necessary.
Applications are available at the school
office. Health and vaccination records are
necessary inorder to attend. Advance
registration is advised, due to limited
enrollment.
Rest Area:
All preschoolers are provided an individual
cot and area. To maintain an optimal routine,
nap time is scheduled daily from 1:30pm to
3pm. All children are encouraged to nap. A
"quiet area" is provided as an option for
children that may have difficulty sleeping
during the day. Restful activities offered
during this time are reading and coloring.
Parents are kept informed of rest patterns.
Play Area:
Safe and secure park-like playgrounds are an
integral part of First Baptist Preschool.
Encouraging physical development and activity.
Social skills are enhanced through the use of
multiple play areas. The school is
convienantly located off the intersection of
Erbes and La Granada/Janns; near the 23 Fwy.
It is important to note that the play area is
secluded, with saftey in mind.
Learning Area:
Each classroom is set up with seperate learning
centers. A focus is made to encourage social
and cognitive development. Manipulatives,
reading and writing skills are presented by
certified teachers daily. First Baptist is a
place to motivate curiosity, challenge
physical and intellectual abilities and to
encourage self-expression and a high
self-esteem....all done in a faith based
environment.
Supplies Required:
A change of clothes for warm and cold days.
Including undergarments and socks. Water play
is an afternoon option during Summer months.
Swim wear and a towel are needed. It is
advised that parents dress their young
children in clothing that allows for a wide
range of activies... from painting to nature
walks. Closed toe shoes are required during
the school year. T-shirt uniforms are available.
Food Provided:
First Baptist Preschool provides a catered hot
lunch program for a minimal fee. Children are
allowed to bring their own lunch from home.
Sound nutrition information is presented to
preschoolers as part of our academic program.
Thus, teaching children about balanced meals,
the benefits of fruits and vegetables. And,
why we should avoid "junk food." A wholesome
snack is provided twice daily; it consists of
at least two food groups.
Transportation:
First Baptist Preschool does not provide
transportation. Local corporations and
businesses may develop their own
transportation or van system for the
conveinence of employees. Field trips that
are off-site are coordinated by parents in a
carpool format.
School District:
First Baptist Preschool is located in Ventura
County, which is serviced by Conejo Valley
Unified School District.
Special Promotions:
First Baptist Preschool and Academy offers
discounts for families with multiple siblings
that are currently enrolled.
