About Us:
My name is Jolene Wood, I am a dental school
graduate and worked in a dental office for 1
year. I was around children all day and
realized that I wanted to devote all of my time
to the children instead of the work I was
doing. I quit my job at the office and have
been a nanny for the past year. I decided to
start my own childcare for my love of children,
teaching them, and watching them learn and
grow. I now have 3 children enrolled that live
in my neighborhood.

Home Daycare Details
Enrollment Process:
Enrollment will consist of meeting with you and
going over any questions or concerns you or I
may have. I will show you around my home,
go over all of the paperwork, and contract.
You will need to make sure that you have all of
the documents filled out and completed to me
at least 24 hours before you child's first day.
You must have all immunizations current and I
need copies to enroll your child by law.
Rest Area:
The nap/quiet room is in the font of my home.
I will supply the sleeping mats, blankets, and
pillows for your child that will be cleaned daily
and never shared. There are some colorful
bugs haning from the ceiling for the children to
look at if they are having trouble going to
sleep. No child is forced to take a nap, they
are encouraged though. If a child chooses not
to sleep, they can either read or lay quietly of
their mat.
Play Area:
The play area is also the same room as the
rest area. While playing we will have toys out,
when it is nap time the majority of the toys will
be put away in the closet. I also have a
television in the room for watching only
educational videos and Idaho Public Television
occasionaly. I have a book shelf with books
for all ages. The play/rest room are very
organized.
Learning Area:
The learning area is a big unused space in the
back of my living-room. This is where we
will "play school" each day and learn about all
kinds of things. We will all sit on the floor in a
circle for our learning time. We also will sing
songs, dance, excercise, and have our group
time and sharing in this area.
Supplies Required:
Supplies required are any diapers, wipes, baby-
food, bottles that your child may need. Also an
extra pair of clothes and socks that will remain
in the child's cubbie. Remember that children
being potty-trained may need additional
clothes and socks in case of accidents.
Food Provided:
I have nutritious meal options each day such
as: PB&J sandwich, soup, turkey or ham
sandwich, grapes, crakcers, bananas, 100%
fruit juices, a cookie with lunch, whole grain
cereals, fruit snacks, milk, etc.
Transportation:
I will not provide any transportation. All
children need to be brought and picked up
each day. I also will not have any
transportation to schools.
School District:
I live in the VallyView School district about 3
blocks away from Sage Vally Intermediate
School. I only will watch school aged children
in the summer due to no transportation.
