Little Grasshoppers Daycare, LLC is a family
home daycare. I, Rondilynn
Chunn, Owner/Director, am a 2006 graduate of
Penn Foster Career
School with a degree in Child Care
Management. We will be opening in
January 2007 as a licensed home daycare. We
are accepting children
between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years (full-
time only). The children will
be in a loving environment with a 3:10
teacher/child ratio. We have a
fenced in back yard and age appropriate
playground equipment, toys and
books. We also provide video recorded
security for the parents to feel
more comfortable with their children being
away from them. I am a mother
myself, and I know how important it is to want
to know how your child is
being taken care of when he or she isn't with
you

Little Grasshoppers Daycare, LLC will be a
state licensed (Winter), CPR
and First Aid Certified (Sept. 2006) family
home daycare. We are
conveniently located about 15 mins. from I-
270/McDonnell Blvd. in
Florissant, MO. We will offer a Parents Night
Out every 3rd Saturday, with
every Saturday during the Christmas season.
We will have a system that
will allow our parents to pay by credit/debit
cards, checking or savings
account, cash or money order. We are also
accepting State Assistance.
We will also offer nutritious meals and a
preschool curriculum.
My philosophy behind my preschool curriculum
is that young children learn
best by doing. Children learn to "read"
pictures which are symbols of real
people, places, and things. This exciting
development in symbolic
thinking takes place during the preschool years
as children play. Play
provides the foundation for academic
or "school" learning. It is the
preparation children need before they learn
highly abstract symbols such
as letters (sounds) and numbers (number
concepts).

Home Daycare Details
Enrollment Process:
A $25 non-refundable application fee is
required before your child is admitted into child
care. This fee will be used to purchase school
supplies, etc.
The forms I will need signed by you and
returned to me are:
Daycare Home Policies, Family Childcare
Registration, Child Health and Personal Info.
Record, Physical Exam., Enrollment Contract,
Activity Authorization, Sick Child Policies,
Immunication Record, Handbook.
Rest Area:
I have purchased playpens for the
infants and cots for the toddlers/preschoolers
to sleep on. The children will have a daily
schedule to go by everyday, so naptime will be
a scheduled time for the children.
Play Area:
We have outdoor playground equipment and
indoor playground equipment for the children.
The children will have a daily schedule to go by
everyday, and playtime is factored into this
schedule.
Learning Area:
During learning time, the children will be
seated at a table with enough child size chairs
for each child. My toddler and preschool age
students will learn their Alphabets & Numbers
on Mondays and Wednesdays, Shapes & Colors
on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Arts & Crafts
on Fridays. Children will not be forced to
learn, but I will make it fun for the children to
want to learn. We will also have circle time--
where we will sing songs, participate in a
learning activity, etc.
Supplies Required:
Toddlers & Preschoolers:
1 complete change of clothing (two if potty
training and pull-ups), Any over the counter
medications that should be given during
daycare hours, 1 Blanket and Pillow
Infants:
Diapers or pull-ups - 1 full pkg.
1 box of baby wipes
2 changes of clothing
Any cream, powder, mylicon, etc.
Medications (by consent only)
Food Provided:
We will provide breakfast, morning snack,
lunch and afternoon snack. Meals for infants
will be made on demand.
Transportation:
Transportation is provided for field trips only.
School District:
We only watch children between the ages of 6
weeks and 5 years of age.
Special Promotions:
Little Grasshoppers Daycare, LLC will be
offering 10% off your first 2 weeks of tuition.
